Behind the Project

A quiet alternative.

Still Here was founded to create a calm, unhurried space online—a quiet corner away from the constant noise, tracking, and metric-driven design of modern web platforms.

The internet rarely encourages quiet contemplation. Most digital spaces are intentionally built to keep you scrolling, checking notifications, and reacting. It is all too easy for that frantic energy to spill over into how we interact with our faith and with Scripture.

This project grew out of a simple question: What if we designed a digital space that didn't demand anything from you?

Our Core Foundations

Our approach is anchored entirely in two distinct scriptural markers:

"Be still, and know that I am God." — Psalm 46:10

We drop the performance streaks, the alarm bells, and the urgent tracking components. We value quiet, personal reflection over public comment sections, allowing you to settle into a restful state of mind as the day closes.

"Now these Jews were more noble than those in Thessalonica; they received the word with all eagerness, examining the Scriptures daily..." — Acts 17:11

We avoid surface-level reading or fast-paced content consumption. We present the timeless text of the Bible clearly, giving you room to eagerly examine and sit with its true depth day by day.

The Content Delivery Strategy

Instead of forcing you to build a habit around a complex new app interface, we send simple, thoughtful readings directly to a platform you already use every day.

Every afternoon, a single Scripture selection is sent to our WhatsApp Channel to frame the second half of your day. Every evening, a companion reflection and meditation prompt follow to help you wrap up your day in quiet thought.

The Purpose of the Archive

Because WhatsApp channels keep histories hidden for brand-new subscribers and clear old feeds after 30 days, this website doesn't exist for performance or promotion. It exists to serve as the permanent, open chronological ledger of those daily entries—ensuring no one is ever locked out of a study's history, no matter when they join the journey.

You are welcome here exactly as you are. No catch, no premium tiers, no hidden agendas. Just a quiet space to read, examine, and rest.
